Jellyfish At The Akron Zoo [2010-04-02]

On Good Friday we took a trip to the Akron Zoo. It was a very nice day, the temps were in the 70s and it was sunny! Very unusual for April 2nd in northeast Ohio. The boys and I went with the Mitchell’s and the Saito’s. A good time was had by all.

Over the weekend the boys and I visited the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and while there I was able to take some photos of Willy. He is a male African Elephant. These photos are “creatively” cropped due to the fact that they were taken through the fence. The fence at the exhibit consists of large poles with several cable running parallel to the ground and spaced several feet apart. Willy was close to the fence and I was able to sheet these in between the cables. I like the way they turned out. The detail and the texture of his skin is amazing. Enjoy.

Willy "migrating" from one side of the exhibit to the other. When this is done he is within feet of the zoo visitors with only a large gate between them.

Twinsburg Memorial Day Parade (2013)

The family attended the Twinsburg Memorial Day Parade and watched from near the Twinsburg Township Square. The Parade proceeded from the Twinsburg High School to Twinsburg Township Square. The Parade included members of the Military (Past and Present), Twinsburg Police Department, Reminderville Police Departments, Twinsburg High School Band, Twinsburg Boy Scouts, Twinsburg Cub Scout Packs 67 and 677, plus many more.
